Wednesday is the day the year 7 & 8s go to Phillipstown Technology Centre and work with Hard materials, Soft materials, Electronics and Food technology. The things they create are very impressive and demonstrate a wide range of skills. I would invite anyone who is interested to take the bus with them one Wednesday morning to go and see them at work. They leave at 8:40am and return around 1:00pm. It would be good if we could have a roster type system organised where parents were taking turns to go with them. While down there you can visit the various classes to see the children working and there is also a work room used by the various visiting schools where you can have a drink and either catch up on your reading or some work.
