Surprise

Yesterday I called in to She Chocolate for one their chilli hot chocolates and ended up sipping champagne at a wedding reception. Life is full of surprises like that, some of them wonderful like yesterday, some of them not so good, like getting hit by a truck on the way to work a couple of weeks ago. But they all go to make up a life and if we are resilient we deal with the bad and make the most of  the good. Resilience is one of the most important things we can teach our children, life won't always be wonderful so enjoy it when it is and learn how to deal with it when it's not.

I had a visit from local MP, Amy Adams, this morning. It was great to talk to her and see she is taking an interest in what we are doing.

This afternoon we had and, as always, it was great to hear the achievements of the children and listen to them share their work.  There is always an interesting range shared and I never cease to be amazed by the abilities of primary school children.

Tomorrow is the last netball game of the season and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not proud of the fact that I have not made a game yet and have had to be content with txting Rebecca to get the score each Friday. Every time I have organised myself to go, something has prevented me, mostly rain or unforeseen circumstances such as large trucks. But tomorrow is the day, I'll be there! They have been unbeaten all season and I'm sure that will continue. Thanks for all of your hard work Emily, you have done a stunning job.
