Speeches

Friday night was a huge success with parents and students having a great time. The fire station made for a wonderful venue and the sound and lighting setup would rival the Paladium in its hay day.  A big thanks to Shane for organising and setting up the gear, to the girls who deejayed and to the PTA for organising the event. Thanks also to the parents for supporting it and to the students for dancing so well.

This morning, Kereru delivered their speeches under the watchful eye of our two judging panels. There was the 'official' one, thanks to David, and there was the student panel which rotated through the class with everyone having a turn. The speeches were interesting and entertaining, leaving the audience with much to think about. Should we use 1080? Should animals be in Zoos? Is Space exploration important? Tomorrow is Piwakawaka's turn.
